NOT RECOMMENDED - My father passed last week. My mom and dad had a living trust. I scheduled an appointment with Ms. Mullin to do an initial interview, explain our family situation, and see if she would be a good fit to help my mom. Since my mom was grieving the loss of my dad, she had asked me to help her do the research and find a good attorney to meet with. Ms. Mullin's was unwilling to accommodate me and her staff was rude about it. I understand she and I couldn't discuss details about the trust but I was hoping for a more understanding attitude and for Ms. Mullin to discuss her experience, track record, and fee structure - but she wouldn't even do that. Ms. Mullin's has a small office, her staff doesn't seem to be highly skilled - even their phone etiquette was unpolished and not to the standards of a professional law office, it wasn't unprofessional but it wasn't very good either. She's more of a small mom-and-pop outfit with limited resources and under-skilled paralegals. Even though they are a law office she should really spend some time and money training her staff on basic customer service skills and communication skills. When you are a potential client and you hear a bunch of "yeah" "no" " I don't know"...it doesn't give you a lot of confidence in their ability to be a skilled advocate on your behalf. Unless you're doing a simple will or advance health care directive, I would find a more experienced attorney. If you're doing basic paperwork like that skip Ms. Mullin and use Legalzoon, you'll get better customer service at the very least. I canceled my appointment and decided to go with a firm with better service, a good track record, and a good reputation in the industry. And they were much more accommodating than Mary Mullin and her staff.
